The Duke Street Dogs – Friday, 6pm – The four-part acoustic band founded in Durham in the late ’70s performs traditional music in addition to songs written by band member Michael Borstelmann at The Blue Note Grill.
Quare Dance: The Ballet – Sunday, 2:30pm – NorthStar Church of the Arts presents a preview performance of Quare Dance’s original work, led by founder Alyah Baker. The dance company deconstructs and reimagines ballet as an intersection of race, gender and sexuality expressed through a combination of dance, text and more. Silent auction prizes and Quare Dance swag will be available to help raise funds to support the troupe’s expenses.
Bull City Food & Beer Experience – Sunday, 4pm – The 10th annual event features dishes from 30 Triangle restaurants paired with 30 beers from local breweries. Guests can enjoy unlimited samples throughout all three floors of the Durham Performing Arts Center, plus a live music and on-stage experience. Proceeds benefit Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, a Raleigh nonprofit working to eliminate food insecurity and help community members learn skills like cooking and gardening.

Hayti Heritage Film Festival – Mon, Mar 6, 10 AM – Sat, Mar 11, 9 PM – The Hayti Heritage Cultural Center will be presenting its 28th Hayti Heritage Film Festival, one of the nation’s longest-running Black film festivals. This annual event will educate and exhibit to the audience the importance of the African Diaspora in film and content, especially in regard to the American South.
