Glass Jug Second Anniversary Celebration – Friday, 4pm-midnight – Celebrate the anniversary of The Glass Jug Beer Lab’s downtown taproom at a party that includes the release of specialty drinks like the Mango Fresh hard seltzer and Currant Conditions, a 2021 barrel-aged golden sour made with black currants. Listen to DJ Gummy spin tunes on the patio and grab some grub from the Will & Pops food truck from 6-9pm.
Glow Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Hunt – Friday, 5-7pm – Head to Durham Central Park for two egg hunts presented by the Downtown Durham YMCA team. The hunts begin at 5:30pm and 6:30pm, respectively, and attendees can also enjoy spring crafts and taking photos with the Easter Bunny.
Durham Bulls 2023 Season Opener – Friday, 6:35pm; Saturday, 1:05pm and Sunday, 5:05pm – The Durham Bulls kick off the 2023 season with a three-game series against the Norfolk Tides at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Friday’s post-game activities include fireworks, a championship pennant giveaway and championship ring ceremony honoring the Bulls’ fourth Triple-A National Championship win. Saturday’s game features a special “110 Years of Durham Bulls” celebration – complete with a showcase of 1913-era jerseys and a scheduled first pitch – while kids ages 12 and younger have the chance to run the bases after Sunday’s game.
Poetry in Plain Sight Launch/Reading and Open Mic – Saturday, 2-4pm – Freelance writer Amber Watson joins 48 other poets in live readings at the North Regional Library for the 14th annual event. Stick around for refreshments and an open mic, and take home surprise poems.

Durham Hunger CROP Walk – Sunday, 1:30pm – Support Meals on Wheels Durham’s mission to eradicate hunger by participating in the 49th fundraising event. The 5K family-friendly walk begins at Duke Chapel.
