MysteryRealm Film Series – Friday-Sunday – This film series at The Caroline Theatre features seven full days of classic thrillers like Agatha Christie’s “The Mirror Crack’d” and Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho.” The event runs through June 30.
That Music Fest – Friday and Saturday – Twenty-five North Carolina-based artists and bands perform across three stages during this inaugural two-day music festival at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Buy a single-day ticket for seating or on-field access to the baseball diamond, or a weekend pass to catch the entire lineup, which includes The Mountain Goats, Delta Rae, Steep Canyon Rangers, Mipso and American Aquarium.
Bee Day at the Durham Farmers Market – Saturday, 9am-noon – Celebrate National Pollinator Week during this inaugural event hosted by Keep Durham Beautiful at the Durham Farmers Market. Visit the pollinator garden, taste honey, meet beekeepers and take home your own plant-pollinator seeds at Durham Central Park. There will also be a parade at 11am.
Minority Makers Market – Sunday, 11am-3pm – Shop from minority- and women-owned businesses at Durham Central Park during this event hosted by The MAKRS Society, Smiths Smokehouse and Smoothies and The Glass Jug Beer Lab. The afternoon features more than 45 local vendors, live music, food trucks and drinks from Glass Jug.
Historic Hillsborough Excursion Day
The Alliance for Historic Hillsborough, in partnership with local historic sites, hosts this inaugural event showcasing “the small town with big history.” Join in festivities at the Hillsborough Visitors Center from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. for historical reenactments, tours, exhibits and all-around family-friendly fun.
Ghosts of Hillsborough – Stories of their Lives…and Deaths
Join the Orange County Historical Museum from 4-6 p.m. for a dramatic presentation from six “ghosts” who once lived in Hillsborough. The spooky event takes a tour around the Old Town Cemetery next door to the museum, and tickets are pay what you can!
