It’s National French Fry Day! We need no excuse to celebrate this holiday, especially with a ton of great french fry options in the Triangle!
We couldn’t give you a guide to the best french fries in the Triangle, because, well, there are too many! So we’ve rounded up some of our staff favorites and have shared them below! Enjoy!
1. Coquette Brasserie
Located in North Hills in Raleigh, Coquette offers exquisite hand cut fries, that can be ordered plain or dressed up with truffle. They’re soft yet crispy and pair perfectly with any of the delightful French dishes on the menu. Take our word for it and go for the truffle fries.
2. Wye Hill
French fries AND a view. It’s hard to beat the sights from Boylan Avenue in Raleigh, but Wye Hill serves up some bites that are just as enjoyable! Their fries are nicely thin and seasoned and pair perfectly with their beer offerings. And for those who like more of a chip-cut when it comes to french fries, they have those too – served alongside some killer beer cheese.
3. The Federal
The Federal in Durham does everything right with their fries, including a touch of garlic and aioli dipping sauces to pair with them. They’re perfectly tender and always hot and delicious – plus the staff won’t judge you if you order more than one of them.
4. Gussy’s
Gussy’s food truck serves up some delicious Greek eats and they certainly don’t disappoint when it comes to french fries, prepared with lemon and oregano. Like your favorite Greek potatoes, but in french fry form. They’re the perfect bite of salty, tangy, and and scrumptious.
5. Buns
Head to Buns in Chapel Hill for classic french fries and sweet potato fries that are perfect on their own or paired with an award winning burger. Either way you choose to go here, you win.
