Your Weekend Guide to Bull City and Beyond: 4th of July Weekend 2022

Festival for the Eno – Saturday & Monday, 10am-6pm – The 43rd annual EnoFest will have musical performances across several stages, an international food court with local vendors and food trucks, plus a juried craft show spotlighting talented artisans, all on the banks of the Eno River at West Point on the Eno. As one of our city’s premier Fourth of July celebrations, the festival benefits the Eno River Association, which protects land and natural resources in the Eno River basin.

Sweet Social – Sunday 4-6pm – Visit The Roof at The Durham as Bold Batch Creamery sets up a pop-up shop featuring its handcrafted, small-batch ice cream in unique flavors like Buzzed Lightyear (cold brew from Little Waves Coffee Roasters with fudge and chocolate cookies) or vegan Blackberry Mojito Sorbet.

Children’s Independence DayParade – Monday, 9:30am – Durham Central Park hosts this annual parade, which features decorated bikes, trikes, wagons and strollers, along with free popsicles, fire engine tours and tunes by DJ Piddipat.

Durham Bulls vs. Memphis – Monday, 6:35pm – Head to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park to watch the Bulls take on the Memphis Redbirds. Fireworks celebrating Independence Day begin at approximately 9:15pm.

Carrboro July 4th Celebration – Monday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. – With a plethora of activities such as live music, a parade and the annual reading of a Frederick Douglass essay, Carrboro Town Commons is the perfect spot to celebrate the Fourth of July. If you want to start your day a bit earlier, the lawn at Weaver Street Market will host a costume contest and wagon decorating starting at 9:30 a.m.

Town of Chapel Hill July 4th Fireworks – Monday, 7 p.m. – Gather at Southern Community Park with blankets, chairs, friends and family for an evening of community and celebration. The event opens for guests at 7 p.m., and the firework display will start at approximately 9 p.m.
