Nevermore Film Festival – Friday through Sunday – This juried competition at Carolina Theatre has introduced brand-new genres from around the world since 1999, and more than 500 features and short films have screened at the festival during its 24-year run. Nevermore accepts submissions of horror, science fiction, mystery, thriller and action/adventure films, and has gained an international reputation as one of the premier genre festivals in the nation.
Kids Night Out – Friday, 5:30-8:30pm – Bring your kiddos to the Museum of Life and Science for an evening of eating pizza, playing games and exploring exhibits while you enjoy an evening out.
Red Clay Saxophone Quartet – Friday, 8pm – Four internationally recognized saxophonists perform works from Philip Glass, Andrew Stiller and Steven Bryant at the Baldwin Auditorium. A livestream of the concert is available.
2023 Craft Cider Tasting Experience – Saturday, 1pm – Stop by The Glass Jug Beer Lab’s RTP taproom and beer garden to meet representatives from more than 10 cideries – including Botanist and Barrel – and sample craft ciders, plus food from Arepa Culture Food Truck.
Mardi Gras – Sunday, 1pm – Throw down at Durty Bull Brewing Co. during a Mardi Gras celebration that includes trivia, live music and Mr. A’s Beignets.
Funk n Future Festival – Sunday, 3pm – MaxDistro, in conjunction with Black Futures Week, hosts a festival in collaboration with P-Funk era Funkateers live at Hayti Heritage Center and also on a live-stream and in the Metaverse.
