Local Games Playtest Night – Friday, 5:30-9pm – Come showcase your project or playtest another designer’s innovative work at Frontier RTP! Plus, listen to the founder of Fanaticus XR and Director of Duke’s Game Design, Development and Innovation Program Esterno Escobar discuss immersive VR experiences.

First Friday Swing Dance Night – Friday, 8pm – Take a free lesson at 7:30 p.m., then showcase your swing dance skills to the sound of live jazz from Trio Factual at Moon Dog Meadery.

‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’  Saturday, 10:30am – C.S. Lewis’ classic story is brought to life through this enchanting performance by Vault Theatre at Mettlesome.

Zlata Chochieva – Friday, 8pm – The internationally recognized Russian pianist makes her Duke Arts Presents debut with a performance centered on the beauty and darkness of the natural world at Baldwin Auditorium as part of Duke Arts’ Piano Recital Series.

21st Annual N.C. MLK Black History Parade – Saturday, noon-1:30pm – Gather in front of W.G. Pearson Elementary School on Fayetteville Street to celebrate North Carolina’s largest Black history month event. The Martin Luther King Jr. parade showcases marching bands; step, dance and drill teams; antique cars; mascots; drum lines and more for spectators to enjoy as the procession makes its way toward North Carolina Central University.

Puppy Love Art & Vintage Market  Saturday, noon-5pm – Drink, eat, shop and adopt at this market created by Fae & Ghoul Collective at The Glass Jug Beer Lab in RTP. Browse from more than 15 local vendors while listening to local musicians, and enter the $1 raffle to win prizes and benefit Hot Dogs Rescue.
