Durham’s Home Goods Market – Saturday, 10am-2pm – Head to the corner of West Main and North Mangum streets to find eclectic home goods and furnishings from local designers, artisans and vendors.
Book Harvest Block Party – Saturday, 1-4pm – In celebration of the summer season, reading and National Summer Learning Week, the literacy support nonprofit hosts an afternoon of family activities and entertainment on the Durham Bulls Athletic Park‘s concourse. There will be live performances from the Bouncing Bulldogs and Batalá Durham, storytimes led by Pierce Freelon and Books and Bops, custom poems from the Poetry Fox and more. The first 300 people through the doors will get a $5 voucher to use at the concession stand.
Cheese x Beer Pop Up with The Cheese Shop & Steel String Brewery
Join The Cheese Shop and Steel String Brewery for a cheese and beer tasting flight to kickstart the weekend! Visitors can taste the specially-curated cheese boards of co-owner and head cheesemonger Stevie Lee Webb. Each board includes a selection of premium cheeses, crackers, pickles, honey and nuts. The pop-up shop will open from Friday at 4 p.m. to Saturday at 6 p.m.
Farm Pizza Night and Music with Sheila Casalett Jazz Band
Pizza lovers, head to Botanist & Barrel to enjoy seasonal wood-fired pies! Baked in front of your eyes with local ingredients, pizza will be served starting at 5 p.m., accompanied by live jazz and bossa nova from 6 to 8 p.m. on the outdoor stage.
