Your Weekend Guide To Bull City and Beyond: March 11th – 13th

Feast From the Furnace – Saturday, 6-9pm – Liberty Arts hosts this annual fundraiser that includes glass-blowing demonstrations by Elijah Leed, gourmet food and handmade glass flowers to take home. Guests can sip wine and feast on a series of small plates cooked in the same furnace.

The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle – Opera Undressed – Sunday, 3pm – Experience the comedy and tragedy of Italian opera in concert form at The Carolina Theatre. The orchestral ensemble presents Gaetano Donizetti’s comic opera “Don Pasquale,” which boasts a bright and lively score and the vocal majesty of 19th century Italian opera, and Giuseppe Verdi’s dramatic “Un Ballo in Maschera,” which is filled with duels, intrigue and clandestine encounters.

Boss Up Pop-Up Shop – Sunday, 1-5pm – Custom Creations by Murlande and Kidd Kreative presents this free pop-up market featuring 20-plus vendors at the Durham Armory. There will be a live DJ and food trucks, too.

Carrboro Annual Kite Fly
Head to Hank Anderson Park from 1-3 p.m. to fly a kite and help fill the skies with color. There will be kites available for those without one. 

Alash 
The ArtsCenter hosts this trio of master throat singers from Tuva, a tiny republic in the heart of Central Asia, from 8-9:30 p.m. Grounded in tradition while expanding its musical vocabulary with new ideas from the West, the ensemble and its individual members have consistently won top honors on the world’s highest stages.

Winery Tour 
Walk through Cedar Grove Blueberry Farm and tour Botanist & Barrel Cidery + Winery with one of the resident cider- or wine-makers while you enjoy a flight of wine or cider made on-site.
