Your Weekend Guide to Bull City & Beyond: December 15th – 17th, 2023

Let It Show: A Holiday Comedy Special – Friday and Saturday, 7:30-9pm – Kick off the holiday season with friends and family at this comedy show at Mettlesome. Listen and laugh as the cast uses Hallmark movies, post-dinner feelings and the tension in tinsel to bring you good cheer. 

Holiday Market – Saturday, 2-6pm – Get some holiday shopping done at Da Kine’s Kava‘s first annual holiday market! Enjoy fun specials and shop from a number of local vendors, including Beyu CaffeUnleashed, Girl Meets Glitter and more.

Christmas Candlelight Tour – Saturday, 6-9 pm – Take a special guided tour around the farm at Bennett Place State Historic Site under the glow of candlelight and see how soldiers and civilians experienced the holidays during a time of war. Tours will take place every 15 minutes in groups of 20, and there will be complimentary hot apple cider for your enjoyment. 

Show Me Reptiles – Sunday, 9am and 10am – This safe and family-friendly expo, one of the largest in the area, features reptiles and other exotic pets that are available to view and purchase at the Durham Armory. Meet breeders and exhibitors from all over the region to learn more about these animals and how to take care of your own.

Durham Community Day – Sunday, 10am-5pm – If you are a Durham County resident, visit the Museum of Life and Science to get in for free! Each adult must provide proof of residency and can bring up to five children.

Indoor Plant Swap – Sunday, 2-4pm – Whether you are brand new to growing or a seasoned plant parent, come out to The Glass Jug Beer Lab in downtown Durham to swap plants, clippings, pots or other supplies and meet fellow plant enthusiasts while enjoying a beverage and a light snack.
