Your Weekend Guide to Bull City & Beyond: December 22nd – 24th, 2023

Holidays in the Park –  Thursday, 5:15-8:55pm; Friday and Saturday, 5:15-9:15pm – Enjoy a memorable stroll with your loved ones through outdoor and indoor spaces at the Museum of Life and Science. Follow shimmering pathways and glowing trees from the gardens to the Dinosaur Trail and revel in the tropical temperatures inside the Magic Wings Butterfly House. Plus, take a train ride on the Ellerbe Creek Railway, passing colorful light displays along the way.

Grand Opening at Proximity Brewing – Friday, 6-9pm – Celebrate the launch of Old East Durham’s first brewery with music, food and plenty of good drinks, including a selection from Durham’s own The Black Bourbon Guy and Melanated Wine

Handcrafted DURM Holiday Market – Saturday, 1-5pm – Head to Durty Bull Brewing Company to put the final surprises under your tree. Shop from a variety of vendors, including funky crafts of all sorts, apparel, jewelry, accessories and more. The most festive visitor will get a prize for the best holiday sweater or costume.

The Berlin Brothers Christmas Orchestra featuring the Irvettes  Saturday, 3:30pm and 8pm – The Berlin Brothers Christmas Orchestra performs all their holiday hits at The Blue Note Grill, an annual “Christmas Eve-Eve” tradition that’s a hit for the entire family. 

Christmas Eve Brunch Buffet – Sunday, 10am-3pm – Head to Zweli’s Ekhaya for a special Christmas Eve meal curated by Chef Zweli Williams and enjoy  bottomless mimosas, a bloody mary bar and a buffet with seasonal dishes. 

Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club Sugar Plum Brunch – Sunday, 11am-2:30pm and 5-9pm – The Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club’s Fairview Dining Room offers reservations for a special Christmas Eve Sugar Plum Brunch, plus a four-course, prix fixe dinner that evening.
