Your Weekend Guide to Bull City & Beyond: December 29th – 31st

Wool E. Bull’s Winter Wonderland – Thursday-Saturday, 3-10pm – Durham Bulls Athletic Park transforms into a festive wonderland with large-scale light installations, visits with Santa (or his favorite elf, Wool E. Claus) and an Arctic Chill Tavern beer garden. Enjoy sledding on six Frosty Fun Hill slopes, reserve an infield igloo and ride the Bulls Express train around the outfield. Indulge in seasonal snacks and drinks and then shop for unique gifts at Winterland Market. The ballpark’s stands dazzle with a spectacular 13,000-light, 4-mile display of colors and music.

Snow Day Getaway at The Velvet Hippo! – Through February 18th – The Velvet Hippo, your neighborhood tropical escape, will be transformed into a “Snow Day Getaway” this season complete with festive limited-time drinks, a chill après-ski vibe, and a snowy mountain lodge makeover inside and out.

Glow Jump – Through January 30th – It’s different after dark. Blacklights, moving lights and lively music transform the whole trampoline park into a crazy jumping dance club at Sky Zone.

Paint & Sip: Blue Ridge Parkway Sunset – December 30th – Sign up, show up, sip up, paint a scene of the Blue Ridge Parkway Sunset!

Downtown Durham True Crime Walking Tour – December 20th, 6pm – Hosted by a local historian, the Durham True Crime walking tour will surely capture your curiosity. From a mayoral candidate with a chilling secret to the horrifying rise of a dangerous cult leader, take a walk on the darker side of Durham history with this evening walking tour.

Dan Davis Group – December 30th, 4pm – The Dan Davis Group is a jazz organ trio featuring Hammond organ, guitar, and drums. The group performs a variety of music styles including jazz, funk, Latin, and New Orleans grooves!
