Your Weekend Guide to Bull City & Beyond: June 21st – 23rd, 2024

Durham Foodie Fair – Friday, 5:30-9:30pm – Enjoy live music and local bites and learn about the Triangle’s diverse food and art scene as you peruse from over 30 vendors at The Makrs Society’s foodie and art market at Durham Central Park.

Jazmin Ghent – Friday and Saturday, 6:30pm and 9pm – The award-winning international jazz saxophonist and educator takes the stage at Missy Lane’s Assembly Room! Jazmin is a renowned artist who’s become a decorated leader for the new generation of jazz, R&B and gospel.

Third Annual Durham Bee Day Celebration – Saturday, 9am-noon – In honor of National Pollinator Week, Keep Durham Beautiful hosts this family-friendly gathering at Durham Central Park showcasing bees and other pollinators and why they are important. Visitors can expect to see real bees in a demonstration hive, taste honey, meet beekepeers, participate in the Bee Parade, plant pollinator seeds to take home and more! 

R.O.O.T.S Networking Event – Saturday, 6-9pm – Celebrate Black creatives in the community by mingling and building relationships at ReCity! Connect, share ideas and meet like-minded individuals as you enjoy a live DJ, catered food, drinks, an expert panel, local vendors, live performances and more.

Durham Underground Market – Sunday, 11am-3pm – The MAKRS Society’s monthly market and concert series features over 45 local vendors, diverse musicians/bands, workshops, food trucks and more at Durham Central Park. This month, enjoy live music by Zones, in partnership with Oak City Music Collective

Free Gentle Mat Yoga – Sunday, 5-6pm – Finish the weekend by finding your zen! In partnership with Durham Central Park, Triangle nonprofit You Call This Yoga invites you to ignore your before-Monday-to-do list and relax for an hour at the Durham Central Park Pavilion. These monthly gatherings offer a nurturing space for movement, meditation and building community bonds.
