Your Weekend Guide to Bull City & Beyond: March 22nd – 24th, 2024

SOULcialize – Friday, 9pm-midnight – Network and socialize at this mixer for local artists at Shadowbox Studio. Enjoy some music, make new connections and find inspiration during this benefit for Charmant Studios and its nonprofit, which funds creatives and the community.

Happy Holi! – Saturday, 10-11am – Celebrate Holi with the Hindu Society of North Carolina at the North Regional Library. Learn more about the cultural traditions of the holiday, then experience the colorful celebration yourself. 

Flower Portraits – Saturday, 10-11:30am – Practice drawing from nature while admiring the beauty of the Sarah P. Duke Gardens in this program guided by local artist Julia Einstein. The event will help people of all skill levels create botanical portraits while utilizing a variety of art tools, all included in the cost of a ticket.

37th Annual Egg Hunt at West Point on the Eno – Saturday, 10am-noon – Durham Parks and Recreation offers another opportunity for Easter egg hunting and prizes for the little ones at West Point on the Eno, plus games and crafts when all the eggs are found.

An Opera Brunch – Sunday, 11:30am-3:30pm – Celebrate the women in your life at Killer Queen Wine Bar! Enjoy delicious cuisine from chef Mike Silva and desserts from Events by Joanne while you are enchanted by the beautiful melodies of professional opera singer Alissa Roca. Guests won’t leave empty-handed thanks to a goodie bag with Girl Scout cookies and discounts to women-owned businesses.

50th Durham CROP Hunger Walk – Sunday, 1:30pm – Join friends, family and community members at this event that raises awareness and funds for families in Durham and across the world who have limited access to food. The walk will begin after an hour of registration and festivities, leaving from Duke Chapel.
