Spring Market – Saturday, 9am-2pm – For Garden’s Sake brings back this popular event featuring 20+ vendors that span food, drink, jewelry, home decor and more. Special guests include Tricky Faces Face Painting as well as a food truck, which has yet to be announced. The Durham Master Gardeners will also be on-site to answer any questions and provide tips on growing spring blooms.
Mystic Highland Games – Saturday, noon-4pm – Enjoy an afternoon of traditional Scottish games, live performances and food at Mystic Farm and Distillery. Activities include tug of war, a haggis-eating contest, shot put and more.
Bull City Food and Beer Experience – Sunday, 4pm – This ninth annual fundraiser, which benefits Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, returns to the Durham Performing Arts Center after a hiatus last year. The afternoon features unlimited samples from breweries and 30 Triangle restaurants throughout all three floors of DPAC. There will also be live music on the main stage as well as a variety of local food vendors.
Occoneechee Mountain Geology and History Hike
Learn more about the state park’s history and geologic wonders, including quartz and pyrophyllite, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Hikers will visit the mountain’s four summits and view the habitat of the area’s most elusive butterflies.
Tarheel Antique Festival
Attend this two-day festival at The Barn at Lloyd’s Dairy to explore multiple antique vendors’ booths and enjoy auctions, appraisals and entertainment. Weekend passes are $7.
