Barktoberfest – Saturday, 3:30-6:30pm – Durham Parks and Recreation partners with Beyond Fences, an organization that provides free pet services and supplies to neighbors in need, to host an afternoon of howling good times for furry friends and their owners at Durham Central Park. Compete in costume contests, take a photo with your pups at the photo booths, go on a fun walk through the park, enjoy local brews and eats, visit the pet market and learn about local foster and adoption organizations while The Mighty Messengers of Soul perform. Don’t forget to bring canned canine food to contribute to the food drive.
Halloween Party: Haunted Carnival – Saturday, 8pm – Check out Bull McCabe’s Irish Pub’sspooky carnival with a DJ, a special food menu featuring chicken sandwiches with Bull City Pepper Co. hot sauce and more. See into your future with a tarot card reading. Enter one of five costume contest categories, including scariest, best last-minute and most creative.
Halloween Weekend Costume Party – Saturday, 9pm-1am – Guests at The Studio at Unscripted Durham are invited to dress up in their best “all hallows” attire for a chance to win a special prize for the best costume of the night and sip on spooky drink specials like Hocus Pocus Witches Brew, Salem Nights or Witch Spritz, all while listening to DJ DDS.
Tricks & Treats Halloween Party – Saturday, 10pm-2am – This Halloween party at The Pinhhook for those 21 and older features live music by Femi the Femme, Black as the Cosmos, Gemynii and Muse (O) Fire, as well as a fire and dance performance by Nakiyah Chanel. Doors open at 9pm.
Halloween Food Truck Rodeo – Sunday, noon-4pm – Bring a blanket or lawn chair for the spookiest installment of Durham Central Park’s food truck series. Enjoy a variety of local street food and beverage vendors, rain or shine.
HallowEno – Monday, 5:30-8:30pm – Head to West Point on the Eno for Durham Parks and Recreation’s 34th annual family-friendly Halloween event. Be ready to trick-or-treat, share campfire stories, and enjoy crafts, games and hayrides.
