Your Weekend Guide to Bull City & Beyond: September 8th – 10th

Ninth Annual Bull City Yoga Festival – Friday, 7pm and Saturday, 7:30am – Feel empowered and included, no matter your level or yoga experience, as you stretch and relax amid the rolling hills at ZincHouse Winery and Brewery. Enjoy gentle yoga and African drumming at the opening ceremony on Friday and a full agenda of classes beginning with sunrise mindful meditation on Saturday. 

Alley Twenty Six’s 11th Anniversary – Friday, 11pm-1am – Enjoy upscale cocktails, small plates and live jazz music from Al Strong to celebrate the anniversary of this beloved neighborhood bar.

Roots and Soul: Walking with Pauli Murray – Saturday, 10-11:30am – Embark on a 90-minute, 1-square mile tour around the historic West End neighborhood. Begin at the Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice and visit six stops while learning about Pauli Murray and her efforts as a relentless pioneer and activist of Black civil rights, women’s rights and LGBTQ rights. 

West Point History Tour – Saturday, 11am-1pm – Take a guided tour of West Point on the Eno‘s historic buildings and grounds, including the West Point MillMcCown-Mangum House and Hugh Mangum Museum of Photography, while listening to stories about the people who lived, worked and played here. 

Art-n-Soul Market – Sunday, noon-4pm – Gather your friends, family and dogs for an afternoon of shopping, live music from SMUVE Band and food from Lobster Dogs and Empanadas RD at Mystic Farm & Distillery. Sip on craft cocktails and shop for handmade gifts, jewelry, art and more.  

Soapbox: Comedy – Saturday, 7:30-9pm – Ready to laugh out loud? Grab your friends for a free evening of comedy, storytelling and spoken word from Khrissy Brooks, Josh Rosenstein, Humon, James Terll and Arturo Lorenzo, hosted by Amir Sh on the BeatBox Stage at Boxyard RTP
